How do I place an order?
All you need to do is browse our site and click on the button where you would like to add any items to your basket. Once you have found everything you need, just click on the basket icon and proceed to checkout. We'll send you an email to confirm the order
How will I know when my order is sent?
We will send you an email with details once your order has been dispatched
Can I cancel an order?
You can cancel an order from your account at any time before it has been sent. Once your order has been fulfilled it can no longer be cancelled however you can arrange for a return if you wish.
What should I do if I receive a damaged item?
Please contact us and let us know. We would need your order number and details of the damage.
How can I pay for my order?
We offer a number of ways for you to pay including by Visa, American Express, AppPay, Google Pay and PayPal
When is payment taken from my account?
Payment will be taken at the point you place your order.
Can I pay in a different currency?
We currently only accept payment in Australian Dollars.
What are your delivery charges for orders within Australia?
All orders for delivery to an Australian address qualify for free delivery using the Australia Post Parcel Post service, which includes tracking.
Do you offer express shipping as an option?
Yes, we now offer express shipping throughout Australia. Cost is based on the total weight of your order and will be calculated at checkout.
How do you package items for delivery?
We package all Steelbook items well protected in bubble wrap and post in a shipping box, which ensures your purchases are well protected and reach you in great condition.
Standard blu-rays are generally packaged in a good quality plastic bubble envelope to protect them. Orders with multiple items will be sent in a shipping box.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

Will I be charged customs or import charges?
If your delivery address is outside Australia then yes, customs and import charges may be charged. The recipient of any parcel will be required to pay these costs.
We do not have any control over these charges and are not able to advise on expected costs.
I live in the United Kingdom, why can I not see shipping options?
Unfortunately, due to changed tax requirements for sending items to the UK, from January 1st 2021 we are no longer able to offer shipping to that location.
I live in a European Union country, why can I not see shipping options?
Unfortunately, due to changed tax requirements for sending items to the EU, from July 1st 2021 we are no longer able to offer shipping to any country within the EU.

Steelbooks are easily damaged - how do I know I will receive something in good condition?
We inspect all Steelbooks before detailing them on our site. We have confidence that all items we sell are free from scratches, dents or spine slashes, except where specifically noted on a product information page.
Please note we do not remove shrink-wrap in order to inspect Steelbooks, so we are only reasonably able to inspect those parts of the Steelbook that are not covered or obscured by a slip cover or J-card. We do sell all items in good faith
All our Steelbooks are sent well protected by bubble wrap and in a shipping box to ensure they reach you in a great condition.
Are your items new?
Yes, all items on our site are brand new and in the original packaging including shrink-wrap.
The only exceptions to this are clearly marked as part of the description, and all sit in the Used or Reduced categories on our site.
I see on the photo that an item includes a digital download/digital version/ultraviolet code, etc - will I be able to use this?
The short answer is maybe however we do not warrant that any digital codes will be usable for several reasons :
- Codes are often time limited, and the activation time for the code may have passed before your purchase.
- Codes are often region restricted and you may not be able to use it where you live when purchasing something that was sourced from another region
- Some services have been deprecated (eg - Ultraviolet) and you are no longer able to use them.
I can see a scratch or other blemish in the photos for an item I'd like to buy.
Metal Movies do not use stock images for Steelbook releases, we use images of the actual stock we hold. Some common things to note are :
- Shrink-wrap can often be scratched, crinkled or creased which can make it look like the Steelbook itself is. This isn't the case - our product pages will always detail where we have noted damage to the Steelbook itself.
- The slip cover/J-Card/information sheet with the Steelbook looks to be blemished or has small circular stains on it. This is caused by the glue used to attach it to the Steelbook bleeding into the cardboard. Unfortunately it happens often and can't be removed, however the same will not happen to the cover of the Steelbook itself.
